Welcome to Hazel and Bee Organics!

Updated: Nov 16, 2020

Hey Everyone! Welcome to our blog!

My name is Michele and I am the owner, creative director and maker behind Hazel and Bee Organics. My passion for quality skincare is much more than skin deep.

When I was 18 years old I made the conscious and very intentional decision to leave the rat race of Long Island & NYC where I grew up, to head for the Green Mountain State. I attended art school in Bennington, and my family had a farm house in Jamaica. This was my introduction to the life I knew I wanted to live.

As my family grew so did my passion for holistic and healthy living. I nurtured large vegetable, herb and flower gardens, and grew and stored my own food. My 5 children have (not so fond) memories of me chasing them around with echinacea tinctures for their sore throats, and garlic oil for their ear aches. I turned to homemade and holistic remedies often before visiting a doctor.

We had our own chickens (more than 40!) for fresh eggs, raised our own lamb and pigs, and kept our own bee hives. I have been a beekeeper for more than 20 years.

As a registered nurse I see so many ailments and illness that could have been avoided altogether by just living a healthier lifestyle. From what goes into your body to what goes on your body- I believe that it is all equally important.

From all these different facets of my life- my brand was born. I started making my products on a larger scale because not only was the demand there for family and friends, but I forgot just how much I loved to do it. It is my creative outlet- along with my opportunity to share my knowledge and wellness with anyone who wants to hear it!

I source the most local and organic ingredients when possible and never add chemicals or synthetic preservatives. I always opt for eco friendly packaging where possible (this is why we use glass containers and not plastic!) and am always working on ways to improve my carbon footprint.

I am so excited to grow and share our products with like minded people who also think that what goes on your body is just as important as what you put into it. Thanks for reading and I can't wait to continue this journey with you!
